Today I went to Montserrat, Catalunya. A BEAUTIFUL mountainous scene just an hour north of Barcelona. I was planning on meeting some classmates at the train stop, but got separated from them. I ended going to Montserrat anyway, hoping to meet up with them there (I didn’t… until I was on my way BACK, and ran into them just as I was getting off for my metro stop to go home). The Lord was so cool! I ended up sitting across a couple from Massachusetts and they were so kind. Then a Puerto Rican student who had been studying abroad in Madrid sat next to me. Her name was Karen, and we became well acquainted very quickly. Ended up spending the entire day with her hiking the mountains. I ended up being able to do everything I wanted to and more! Unbelievable scenes! The Lord defiantly showed his glory. And it turned out this place was special in its own way! A monastery was built around this area because a long time ago a black statue of the virgin Mary was found here!
