Thursday, July 2nd

Today we had a school field trip to the monastery of Poblet, which was founded in 1151. It was about an hour drive and beautiful to say the least! We then had a workshop at the school learning about 'Human Towers'- basically a Catalan pastime where they stack people on top of each other. I tried it-- it was interesting...

Then I went with a few other students to see the 'Magical Fountains' in front of the museum of contemporary art. We met up with some of the University mentors who took us, and then we went and had tapas afterwards. I had a potato omelette which was SO GOOD. And of course my favorite, Sangria :)  The fountains were defiantly one of my favorite experiences in Barcelona so far. The fountain is timed to music and it plays on the weekends, every fifteen minutes. I've never seen water shoot up in the air so high, and people were lined up EVERYWHERE. I hope I can go see it again before I leave!
